Brian Rasmussen è nato a Ringsted (Danimarca) nel 1973. Si laurea alla “Royal Academy of Architecture” di Copenhaghen nel 2000. Nel primo anno di studio vince il concorso nazionale “PRISOPGAVE KØBENHAVN” (Danimarca) con il progetto futuristico di una stazione della metropolitana. Nel 2002 vince il secondo premio del concorso nazionale “CRISTIANO D. IV´S BRYGHUS” e decide di aprire il suo studio d’architettura e design a Venezia. Nel 2004 vince il concorso internazionale d’arte “TARGETTI LIGHT ART AWARD” che si trasforma in un punto di partenza per la sua carriera come progettista d’illuminazione. Nel periodo tra il 2004 ed il 2006 progetta e sviluppa un lampione per la città di Ringsted, Danimarca, in collaborazione con Louis Poulsen Lighting. Dal 2011 svolge il ruolo di Direttore Artistico per LIGHT4.
Ha disegnato per: Casamania, Studio Italia Design, Martinelli Luce, Voltolina, Morosini, Evistyle, Light4, Lucente, Modoluce, Zeroombra, Zava Luce, Pallucco, Torremato, Karboxx, Axolight, Barovier&Toso.

Sia la versione a sospensione che quella a soffitto hanno 3 diverse dimensioni che, unite alle 3 finiture della struttura metallica, creano una grande varietà di possibilità. La struttura di metallo, nelle versioni sospensione e parete: Ø 60 mm. e nella versione a soffitto: Ø 100 mm, è un tubo di alluminio estruso di 2mm di spessore. The glass diffuser, decorated by several layers of serigraphy, gives the product a decoration that can only be seen when the lamp is illuminated. The diffuser is also wrapped in a structural prismatic PMMA element that spreads the light in a uniform manner all around. -

When the lighting fixtures are off, the surface of the silkscreened glass diffuser looks like an even white surface, and you can see only the outlines of the floral decoration. When on, the surface is alive with different colour shades, due to the number of silkscreen layers. Along the outline of the decoration, the light is clearer because there is less colour; instead towards the centre, where there is more colour, the intensity of light decreases. Flat panel glass front diffuser, with multi-layer silkscreened décor. Prismatic thermoformed PMMA side diffuser, detail in polished carved solid aluminium. LED 220-240V. -
