Brian Rasmussen was born in Ringsted (Denmark) in 1973. He graduates at the Royal Academy of Architecture in Copenhagen in 2000. As a first year student he wons the national student competition “Prisopgave København” (Denmark) with a project for a futuristic metro station. In 2002 he wons the second price in the national architecture competition “Christian D.IV’s Bryghus” and decides to open his own office of architecture and design in Venice, Italy. In 2004 he wins the international art competition “Targetti Light Art Award” which becomes a starting point for his career as lighting designer. From 2004-2006 he designs and develops a streetlamp for the city Ringsted, Denmark in collaboration with Louis Poulsen Lighting. From 2011 he is in charge of the art direction at Light4. From 2017 he is the art director at Venetia Studium.
He has drawn for: Casamania, Studio Italia Design, Martinelli Luce, Voltolina, Morosini, Evistyle, Light4, Lucente, Modoluce, Zeroombra, Zava Luce, Pallucco, Torremato, Karboxx, Axolight, Barovier&Toso.

CeilingThe ECLISSE collection is getting bigger and more versatile. The new TUBE version presents itself as Suspension, Ceiling, and Wall sconce. Both Suspension and ceiling versions have 3 different sizes which, combined with the 3 finishes of the metal structure, creates a large variety of possibilities. The metal structure, Suspension & Wall version: Ø 60 mm. Ceiling version: Ø 100 mm, is a 2 mm thick extruded aluminum tube. When the lighting fixtures are off, the surface of the silkscreened glass diffuser looks like an even white surface, and you can see only the outlines of the floral decoration. When on, the surface is alive with different colour shades, due to the number of silkscreen layers. Along the outline of the decoration, the light is clearer because there is less colour; instead towards the centre, where there is more colour, the intensity of light decreases.
